About our Parish
Idmiston parish covers the villages of Idmiston, Porton including the settlement at Porton Down and Gomeldon, together with East & West Gomeldon. The parish is located near the ancient city of Salisbury which is noted for its superb cathedral and delightful Cathedral Close. Nearby lie many other ancient and historic attractions including Stonehenge and Wilton House. Salisbury provides most of the facilities of a modern city including a theatre, playhouse, cinema, football, golf, rugby and cricket clubs, a racecourse and a variety of clubs, pubs and restaurants.
