The full Parish Council is 15 strong. It meets on the second Monday of every month, except during April and August, in the memorial Hall in Porton. Full council meetings begin at 7.30pm and members of the public are always welcome and given the opportunity to speak. The current list of councillors and their responsibilities is provided on notice boards sited around the parish and also here at the website.
The Council sub-divides into 4 committees or working groups: Planning, Amenities, Playing Fields and Finance and General Purposes.
The latest agenda and minutes from previous meetings are available for viewing on the notice boards. Most full council minutes can also be viewed through this website. It is planned to improve the website in the near future when we hope to be able to regularly provide both agendas and minutes from all committees on the site.
The current Clerk to the Parish Council is Clare Churchill.
The Clerk can be contacted via email on parishclerk@idmistonpc.org.uk or by telephone on 01722 743027
The parish flood plan is now available on line; the Flood Wardens are Roy Gould and Gerald Blake.
Our current Wiltshire Councillor is Michael Hewitt.
